Their purpose is to enable school authorities to use best practices in creating and supporting learning environments that respect diverse sexual orientations, gender identities and gender expressions. REACH is Edmonton’s Council for Safe Communities. REACH is a community-based organization working to mobilize and coordinate organizations, community groups and Edmontonians to find innovative solutions to prevention and community safety.

To ensure a “safe and caring place of learning” the Edmonton Police Service has set up the School Resource Officer (SRO) Program with the Edmonton Public and Edmonton Catholic Schools to create a police presence within different schools.

The Sport law and Strategy Group is a consulting company offering consulting services and educational programs related to organizational governance, values management, risk assessment, mediation and arbitration, policy development, business and employment issues and change management. The Fourth R is a consortium of researchers and professionals dedicated to promoting healthy adolescent relationships and reducing risk behaviours. We develop and evaluate programs, resources, and training materials for educators and other front-line professionals who work with youth Fourth R initiatives use best practice approaches to target multiple forms of violence, including bullying, dating violence, peer violence, and group violence.
